It’s the “I cannot eat one more serving of candied yams ever again in my life alternative!” Try this super easy and super tasty sweet and spicy alternative to that overly-sweet Thanksgiving side dish that shows up every year! Deliciously healthy garnet yams with a touch of serrano heat and pure maple sweetness hits the spot. The rich flavor of aged parmesan adds the perfect amount of richness to pull all these flavors together.
Ingredients
- 2 large Organic Garnet Yams
- 1 Organic Serrano Chili (diced small)
- 2 tablespoons grated Grass-Fed Parmesan Cheese
- 1 ounce Cold-Pressed Olive Oil
- 1 ounce Organic Maple Syrup
- Sea salt and pepper as needed
Preparation
1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees
2. Slice Garnet Yams in half, then in ½’ thick half-moons, place them in a mixing bowl
3. Drizzle with Olive Oil
4. Add Parmesan Cheese
5. Add Serrano Chili
6. Season with salt and pepper as needed
7. Place on a baking sheet and cook until tender (not mush)
8. Drizzle with Maple Syrup when finished cooking
9. Refrigerate until ready to reheat or enjoy immediately!
