Roasted Crispy Chickpeas

Crispy, crunchy, and super nutritious, roasted chickpeas are one of the easiest healthy snacks you can make. Just open up that can in your pantry, toss with seasonings, and roast in the oven until golden brown. These tasty legumes satisfy your craving for salty snacks, provide protein for fuel, and are easy to carry with you anywhere. They also make a great topper for salads and power bowls.

Ingredients

  • 1 15oz can organic chickpeas, drained and rinsed
  • Cold-pressed olive oil to coat
  • ¼ teaspoon organic garlic powder
  • Pinch of cayenne pepper
  • Sea salt as needed

Preparation

1. Drain and rinse the chickpeas, then place them on paper towels and pat them dry.


2. Place the chickpeas in a bowl and use just enough olive oil to lightly coat them.

3. Add spices and toss well.


4. Place the chickpeas on a sheet pan and bake at 400 degrees for 30 minutes.

5. Turn off the oven and leave them there for another hour to completely crisp up.
