Making chocolate covered strawberries from scratch is way sexier (and more nutritious) than buying them pre-made! Impress your Valentine with these indulgent and antioxidant-packed treats. They are super easy to prepare and the extra effort might lead to a Valentine’s Day you’ll never forget.
Ingredients
- 2 dozen organic strawberries
- 1 c dark chocolate
- 2 tsp organic coconut oil
- 1/4 c chopped organic pistachios
Preparation:
1. Line a sheet pan with parchment paper.
2. Melt chocolate and coconut oil together in a double boiler or microwave safe cup.
3. Dip strawberries into the chocolate and place on parchment-lined sheet pan.
4. Push strawberry about 1/2 inch forward (away from the stem) to minimize the chocolate “foot.”
5. Sprinkle with chopped pistachios and repeat until all strawberries are coated and sprinkled.
6. Chill until chocolate is solid.
