The creamy and tangy goat cheese perfectly complements the natural sweetness of the dates, and a topping of chopped walnuts adds a satisfying crunch.

These delicious morsels also make a party-perfect appetizer, especially for the upcoming holiday season!

Ingredients

  • 12 pitted medjool dates
  • 1/3 cup goat cheese
  • 1/4 tsp sea salt
  • 1/3 cup raw walnuts, chopped
  • honey if desired

Preparation

1. In a small bowl, combine goat cheese and sea salt.

2. Cut a slit in each of the dates and stuff with the cheese mixture. Top with chopped walnuts.

3. Turn the oven on to the broil setting. Place the dates on a sheet pan and place on the highest rack in the oven for 2-3 minutes, watching closely, until golden brown.

4. Drizzle with honey for a little extra sweetness. (optional)
